What a beautiful, sexy photo of one of the hottest guys on the planet. After reading all the comments about the socks, I have to admit I missed them. Must have been too focused on the ass. Oh yes, there they are. On a bit more serious note, I find all the concern over "it's gay" and "no it's not" both hilarious and very sad. Of course it's straight. Of course it's gay. It's called ART guys. Whether it is or isn't is determined buy the baggage you bring with you and the frame of reference that gives you. That said, the level of homophobia displayed in the comments is rather breathtaking. The repeated implications that gay equals "bad" just goes to show how bigoted lots of folks are. Some guys like girls, some guys like guys. For heavens sake, grow up and get over it.
Thanks to all of you who took the trouble to comment on this photograph that was a Daily Deviation for one day I guess. I just returned from an internetless space and was delighted to see and read so many opinions and suggestions. Initially I made this photograph for the garmentbrand "Tunderwear" (Technical-underwear) specially made for active people like sportsmen/women, policemen, military personnel and others. Stuart also posed for my Olympic birthdaycalendar "Sportheroes pure" the 2012 edition. This exposure was made near Montpellier, in the south of France, on a quiet stretch of beach.
I'm going to be honest this is the first time in a while that I have seen a nude image on the front page of DA that I considered "artsy and elegant'' the classical looking pose and posture makes him look quite sublime. I also really like lighting of the shadows and highlights that show off his muscle tone it is very pleasing to my eyes. The blue surrounding the photo also compliments his body tattoo making it look absolutely gorgeous.
Would have loved a more inviting expression on his face. I'm tired of male models (nude or otherwise) always looking so grumpy. I understand it was probably hard in the sun, but still, just because you're a man doesn't mean you can't look a bit more connected to the viewer of the piece. Other than that, love it!
What I think is the coolest part about the picture is that on the ankles of the socks it looks like there are little wings - since the deviant seems to enjoy posing his models in classical poses, it's an added bonus to the statue-esque pose he's already placed the man in. Very cool.
You've captured, the exact type of pose, that makes nude art, art. His posture, pose, physique, the background, the focus, and lighting, all make out an absolutely beautiful photo. You have yourself, the modern David.
